Outstanding children’s products receive recognition
Brilliant Sky Toys & Books is proud to announce the winners of the second annual Brilliance Awards. The Brilliance Awards recognize products that represent the very ideals that Brilliant Sky Toys & Books was founded upon – the importance of quality, the value of open-ended play, and the simple beauty of a child’s fascination and delight. The products must meet the company’s high standard of offering developmentally sound products for children and must also engage children and encourage the growth of important values, such as self-esteem, patience, tenacity and cultural sensitivity.
The winners of the 2011 Brilliance Awards are:
• Eco-Friendly Product of the Year – Tegu Blocks
• Puzzle of the Year – IcoSoku by Recent Games
• Toddler Toy of the Year – Pewi Bike by YBike
• Game of the Year – Say Anything Family Edition by Northstar Games
• Retro Toy of the Year – Music Box Record Play by Basic Fun
• Construction Toy of the Year – Nanoblock® by Ohio Art

The products are also available on the Brilliant Sky Toys & Books website. The winners received special award certificates and will be featured on the opening pages of the Brilliant Sky Toys & Books 2011 Holiday Gift Guide.
“Play has increasingly been recognized as a critical part of childhood development, and today’s parents are more focused than ever on providing a developmentally-sound environment for their children.” said Brent Taylor, CEO of Brilliant Sky Toys & Books. “We feel it is important to identify the products that are the “best of the best” and our customers have grown to expect these types of recommendations when they come in to our stores.”
